Today's speaker, Sif Jensen, joined us remotely from Denmark.  Sif spoke to us about the Human Library.  This is an international not-for-profit organization which Dave Newman had learned of and therefore reached out to, hoping our club could also hear about their unique mission.  The Human Library is, in the true sense of the word, a library of people. They host events where "readers" can borrow human beings serving as open books and have conversations they would not normally have access to. Every human book from their bookshelf represents a group in society that is often subjected to prejudice, stigmatization or discrimination because of their lifestyle, diagnosis, belief, disability, social status, ethnic origin etc.  It is a forum to ask questions about difficult issues.  They have hosted events in over 80 countries, with their mottos being "Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover" and "Unjudge Someone".
