The Club welcomed visiting Rotarians Bill Nielson from the St. Paul club, Pat Bauers from the White Bear club, and Mark Miller (White Bear club) and his wife Renee.  Mark and Renee talked about their Group Study Exchange trip to Israel. He noted that the idea of going on this occurred after Israel had sent a GSE delegation to Minnesota and the White Bear Club had served as host for a few days of their trip. Mark and his wife reviewed their experience of participating in a Rotary Group Study Exchange and described what a wonderful way it is to see another country. They were able to stay with a number of host families in the different cities they visited and made many friends and acquaintances.  They visited several cities including Tel-aviv, Nazareth, and Jerusalem.  Mark and Renee talked about their many experiences and included a number of pictures from the various cities and sites they visited in Israel. They also noted that they felt very safe traveling throughout the country even when they were near the Gaza strip. Mark also mentioned that they extended their stay to visit a few other places including Georgia, which was formerly part of Russia. He praised the GSE program and indicated that it was truly a once in a lifetime experience.
